Somers Town Energy Centre

Somers Town Energy Centre

As part of Camden Councils plan to lower carbon emissions by 40% by 2020 they developed the Somers Town Energy Centre which will provide heat and hot water to five housing estates, a new community centre and the redesigned Edith Neville School. South East Engineering Installations Ltd were commissioned to complete the full fit out of the UKPN Sub Station and complete all LV and HV distribution works.

We Installed a 11KV transformer for CHP and altered the existing lighting circuits and PW circuits. All emergency lighting was updated and the fire safety system reconfigured and re commissioned. The gas detection system was relocated to suit the new plant room layout and again we fully re-tested and re-commissioned this system.
