Today we met with staff from Imago, a charity which supports children and young adults who care for a family member in need. Young carers are children and young people who take on caring responsibilities for a family member with a long-term illness, disability, mental health or substance misuse issue.
The staff at SEE have been busy preparing Christmas bags brimming with presents for 50 of these local Kent young carers. It was a decision by the Managing Director John Nicholls to do something different this Christmas. He said “We’ve been very privileged to support a number of charities over the years and it’s a tradition we’re committed to continuing. It was a pleasure to support Imago in their fantastic charity work supporting these very special children who show such an increase in resilience and have a fantastic caring nature”
